We will never
be able to totally eradicate the problem of human head lice, but we can
help eliminate the stigma, suffering and taboo of head lice infestation.
And at the same time bring about the awareness of the long term consequences
and dangers to our children's health on the use of pesticides.
Product Overview
What makes Follicel different?
Follicel is a hypoallergenic solution made from the extract of citrus
fruit using new polysaccharide technology. Follicel contains no poisons
or pesticides, is nontoxic, has no strong odors and no harsh chemicals.
In fact, the FDA lists all of Follicel's ingredients as safe.
How does Follicel work?
Follicel is actually not toxic to lice. Follicel acts by reacting with
the respiratory and digestive system of the louse. Follicel also acts
upon the lice eggs and it's adhesion, aiding in easier removal.
How effective is Follicel?
Follicel has successfully treated tens of thousands of children throughout
Europe and around the world. UK Market
Acceptance Test. Its recent
arrival in North America means it will help that many more. Like any treatment
however, it must be performed properly to be effective.
In a recent product trial in Chilliwack B.C. Canada a nit mom conducted
24 treatments and returned 7 days later for evaluation. Twenty two of
the cases had no signs of head lice. 2 Cases still had head lice or had
been reinfested and needed a second treatment.
How can I be sure I have broken the life-cycle?
Most lice treatments recommend a follow-up treatment after 7 to 10 days
to kill any recently hatched lice from eggs that were missed during the
combing process. As well, re-infestation can occur if the lice are not
completely wiped out of a classroom or school population. With Follicel,
these additional treatments can be done without worry or concern for the
environment or your child's health.

Father
"I used it on my 12-year-old daughter, Nicola, and it killed the
lot within 10 minutes. I gave some to my business partner and he treated
his little boy and gave some to other parents in the village. We've treated
about 30 children and the results have been the same." - Mr. Pursall,
Falmouth.
Mom
Hillary Hoolahan, a recruitment consultant from Richmond, Surrey is delighted
with its results. She has three children - Timothy 10, Chrissie 7 and
Jemma 2 - who she found difficult to treat when the little invaders were
first brought home from school. "I was able to clean them out of
Chrissies's hair using conditioner and a nit comb," she said, "but
Jemma's hair is so fine the comb wouldn't pick them up. She must have
had them for about six months. So, every time the others were rid of them,
they inevitably got them back again immediately". For Hilary Follicel
was a godsend. "I was able to eradicate them in Jemma's hair and,
touch wood, she hasn't had them since. Chrissie had a few again later
going back to school this term but Follicel has taken care of them. It's
fantastic."
Lawyer
Parents who have tried it since its launch last November believe it is
a breakthrough. Gillian Causer a solicitor from Crawley near Winchester
has just reordered for her two children, Rosie 4 and George 7. She says
"We've been through he usual things, combing and special shampoos.
But Follicel is the first treatment that worked with only one application.
It cleared the little beasts first go and my children liked it because
it doesn't smell unpleasant like the chemical treatments." Clayton-le-Wood
Primary School, near Chorley, Lancashire, has ordered in bulk. A spokeswoman
says, "A couple of staff tried Follicel and said it worked brilliantly
so we are making it available to parents."
Mom
"I've been to hell and back with headlice... Follicel is fantastic"

Community Health Nurse
Our Community, like many others, struggles with the ever-annoying problem
of head lice. Particularly vulnerable are young children in the school
setting. Frustrated parents spend hours dealing with this problem, only
to find that within a week they are repeating the time-consuming process
of shampooing, combing, picking out eggs, re-washing bedding and personal
articles. Worried about continual use of harsh shampoos, our community's
parents have resorted to treatments of mayonnaise, Vaseline, peanut butter,
tea tree oil, conditioner left on for hours, mineral oil and even use
of the vacuum cleaner to try to suck off stubborn eggs. Recently, our
health department discovered "Follicel". The results have been
astounding. Comments of happy parents include, "no harsh smell or
chemicals", "The eggs just slid off when combed", "The
shampoo did not burn", "It made the hair shine and appear healthy".
Follicel is economical, as three to four children were treated per bottle
and it proved to be effective even in very difficult cases. Knowing how
safe, effective economical and easy it is to use, our parents have no
concerns about treating their children with this product. For these reasons,
Follicel is quickly becoming the first choice of parents in our community.

The Origin of Follicel
Where did Follicel come from?
Follicel, like many products was discovered almost by accident. Originally
developed by a team of British scientists as a natural antibacterial/anti-fungal
solution to treat farmed fish, Follicel had an immediate and profound
effect on sea-lice. A colleague of one of the scientists mentioned his
son had contracted head lice at his school. Since this new product was
known to be safe, the solution was tried on the child. The results were
extremely positive, and consequently all the children at the school were
successfully treated.

While dinosaurs are being revived to popular acclaim by the BBC, a much

nobody seems to care. In fact, the news of its extermination has attracted
