Dynamint is Dynamite
Top international equestrian Anita Nemtin-Gilmour has revealed how a peppermint sports balm helped her favorite horse. The 30 year old equestrian star of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and key member of the Canadian National Squad used the muscle rub, Dynamint, after hearing about it's healing power from a friend. Her 17 hand Mexican thoroughbred, Kaesar, suffered serious ligament damage after a bad fall. But after constant "hands on" massage and leg wrapping, the former flat race winner made a fantastic recovery.
Anita, who has competed in top championships in the UK and North America, says she has used Dynamint, which contains only natural products on herself as well as her horse. "It's and amazing product," she said. "I used it on Kaesar and there is no doubt that it helped him to make a remarkable recovery. He was in a bad way. I now use Dynamint on all my six horses, especially after a hard work out, usually two or three times a week. It is an extremely effective leg brace and tightener as well as a great muscle relaxant and seems to relieve pain and swelling. I rub it on their legs, then wrap them to keep the joints tight and prevent the build up of fluid." Anita is planning to ride Kaesar in cross country events in Great Britain and the US this year.
Anita, who lives in King City, north of Toronto, says that she also has used Dynamint as a sports rub to ease back pains and soreness on both herself and her husband Ian. "I figure that if it is good enough for my horses, with their sensitive skin and tissue, then it's all right for humans," she added.
Anita, who was short listed for the World Championships, came second in the Rolex Kentucky and competed in the European Open at Burleigh, currently rides for Canada, although in the 1996 Olympics she rode for Hungary because of her dual citizenship.
